About Tilly

Tilly is a good dog who has had bad break over her past three years. She has been in four homes to my knowledge and has yet to find the family that will fit her needs. She adores all people and loves being near them on the couch when invited. She loves to lay on laps and press herself between legs. She has even been known to allow small children to nap using her body as a pillow. She is the definition of a velcro pitty. She is fairly calm in most situations, will go for a walk with you but is okay to skip a walk in order to spend time sunbathing in a safe area. She is not a guard dog, because though she may bark at a person on the other side of a barrier she is their best friend as soon as they enter her home or yard. That being said she has issues with other animals and with being left alone. She does not like other animals and must be the only animal in the house. She also struggles with separation anxiety and incontinence surrounding her anxiety with being left alone (we were unable to find a crate or a safe option while we worked). She loves children but I would be cautious in a home with young children or active children. She is currently in stray hold in St. Pete after being brought in on stray hold after escaping a failed re-homing situation that took place January of this year. I am not able to take her into my home, therefore if I can not find her a home before end of day tomorrow (6/22) she will have to be turned over to the SPCA.
