About Gippy

Meet Gippy! This young terrier mix is about 9 months old weighing about 40 pounds. He adores other animals and if anything is a bit overly friendly with them, but because of his lack of confidence it does take him a minute to warm up to new humans that he meets. He is an extremely sweet young boy who lacks confidence and doggy manners. Gippy was found as a stray, so he needs time to learn how to be a dog, play and learn doggy manners. A home with a secure confident dog would be ideal, so Gippy can learn to model himself after a balanced dog. Gippy is kennel trained and still needs help with potty training. He does well on a leash, eats his meals either in his kennel or out of the kennel, has absolutely no aggression with food, toys or other dogs, but NO cats or young children, please. He loves to run around in the yard and play chase. He is unsure of toys but learning, loves chewing bones and treats but is not overly food motivated. Gippy would do best in a less chaotic environment with older children to give him time to trust, learn and have one on one attention and he definitely needs another energetic canine companion. He is currently fostering in Stow, OH and we can help with transport, within reason, to the perfect forever home.
