About Dover

Dover is an 8-year-old handsome male pittie mix looking for a new home, his dad is moving into a smaller place and will be working long hours. He doesn't want Dover to be left home alone so much. While he's not 'dog aggressive', his ideal home would have no other dogs (or cats) as he can be a little dominant and is protective of his food. Dover is used to being the only 'child.' He grew up with three human sisters and is great with people of all ages, but as he is very strong and does not know his own strength, a home with no small/young children is preferred. Dover likes to chase squirrels and cats and has a tendency to wander off if not contained so a fenced yard or someone willing to keep him on-leash is highly preferred. He is very affectionate and loves lots of attention. He enjoys lying in the sun and his favorite toy is the rope as he loves to play tug of war. Dover is always up for a walk and is happy to hop into the car and go for a ride.
