About Toby

Hey there! My name is Kileen I have a really sad story, but a coworker of mine has a 3 year old pit/lab mix named Toby. Otherwise a super sweet boy, he has a bite history and now my coworkers apartment is making her get rid of him. He must be evicted by the end of the week. And if she can't find him a home, he'll be put down. She's had him since he was 8 weeks old and it's breaking her heart, and her kids' hearts. Toby is sweet and loves to play with other dogs, but isn't so good with little kids. Once kids start screaming or shouting too much, he gets riled up, too. Unfortunately, that situation just happened yesterday. A little girl was shrieking in the hallways and Toby snuck out and managed to bite her. He has also bit this coworker's son after a similar scenario where he was in an argument with his brother. As the fight escalated, the shouting scared Toby and he bit. The last time was when Toby was eating, so he shows food aggressiveness, too. I hate to see this dog have his life taken away for getting anxious with kids, so I was wondering if someone can take him in? He would require some work and patience, and just make sure he's adopted by a couple with no small kids unless the biting behavior is broken. Can you help?
