Cooper is an approx 3 yr old, 19 lb Corgi full of sweetness and fun! Cooper LOVES his toys and loves to play fetch. He could be a competitive frisbee boy too! He was recently neutered, so potty training is still a work in progress. He does well with regular potty breaks though. He is also crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and boy, does he love to go for walks! Cooper is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, chipped, and HW negative. He is great with other small to large sized dogs. He would really enjoy another dog in the house to play with, but would also enjoy being the only dog too. His preferred place to sleep is cuddled up in his crate with his blanket or in a soft, puffy doggie bed. He is an active little guy, so a fenced yard is required. He was an owner surrender due to his skin and coat issues and is currently being tested for an autoimmune disease called Sebaceous Adenitis. Three punch biopsies were sent in for analysis and the results should come back in a couple weeks. It's treatable and his hair should grow back for the most part, but he will never have a great coat if this is what he has. He will need to have his stitches removed in two weeks and once the results are back, medication given if he has Sebaceous Adenitis, likely for the rest of his life. If you are interested in meeting Cooper for a foster to adopt situation, and want a dog that loves to go on walks, play, cuddle on the couch/bed, and makes ridiculous Corgi faces at you, then he is your man. He is going to make someone very happy as he is a wonderful dog and is going to continue to thrive in a loving home. Cooper had suffered some past trauma from the use of aversive training techniques so only applicants who are familiar with and use positive reinforcement training will be considered. No kids please and he has not been cat tested. If interested in meeting Cooper, complete our foster application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Cooper's adoption fee is $425 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions right now.
