PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CONTACTING US OR COMPLETING AN APPLICATION. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY** If still interested, please complete an application at www.rescueangelssomd.com. Dog is in GA and owner is willing to bring to MD. New owner MUST be willing to train, work with Maggie, and not ever consider giving her up NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS WITH HER BEHAVIOR. She has bitten and attacked another dog, so there is always a chance she will bite a person, even though she has not. She needs a quieter home and as an only dog would be ideal. Here is all the information from the owner: Our dog, Maggie (6 yr old golden/corgi mix, 38lbs), became aggressive with our other female dog for the first time about two months ago. They have been together for 6 years with no issue. Since then, there have been numerous incidents between them resulting in significant injuries to both dogs. There is no medical explanation or definitive trigger- the aggression is random and on sight. Our veterinarian recommended permanent separation... we are absolutely heartbroken. We have reached out to numerous rescues in the Savannah area, where we live, but they are unable to take her in to rescue at this this time as their foster homes are full. I even attempted to get her into rescue in Columbia, SC but the rescues are concerned. Maggie is very affectionate with people and has no problem with our other male dog, or cats. I have no clue why we have a problem now... but I believe Maggie can be a wonderful pet in a home with no other dogs and no small children. We just really need a rescue that is willing to take her in, and give her a chance. She is a 38 lb corgi/golden mix. Maggie is a six year old Corgi/Golden Retriever mix, and southern belle, from Georgia. Maggie is incredibly devoted to her people, and loves nothing more than spending her nights cuddled up on the couch watching Netflix and enjoying a good belly rub. Small animals are her worst enemy, and she loves to chase squirrels and will destroy any toy with a squeaker and stuffing. That being said, she loves cats! You'll always know you are loved by Maggie since she loves to give sloppy kisses 24/7. She's a great traveler and loves car rides, too. She would love nothing more than to be your constant companion and best friend... and hog your pillow. She isn't good at sharing and needs to be in a home with no other dogs, but would be perfectly happy with cats in the home. She also would do better in a home without small children. We are more than willing to travel to wherever necessary- Maryland or elsewhere- in order for Maggie to end up in a safe and happy home with someone who wants to love her like we do.
