About Maboo

If you have tennis balls and want a best buddy, check out Maboo from East Bridgewater, MA! With a GQ smile, this 2-1/2-year old, 75-pound male Chocolate Lab mix is an amazing, loving, and loyal dog with people he knows. His chocolate kisses are better than any Hershey candy! Maboo loves an active lifestyle especially if it involves running and playing with a fellow canine kid. He loves other dogs and would make a nice sibling for a similarly playful fur kid. He needs a fenced yard however so he can exercise freely off leash. In between playtime or at the end of a day, he'll lay on the couch or sleep in his bed. When he is left alone, just give him a Kong and turn on some calm music. Like most labs, Maboo is super smart. He attended obedience training and walks well on a leash; responds to the word 'no' which is a word to get his attention to listen; and knows sit, down, and right here. He also knows to sit when meals are prepared, and only eats when he gets a verbal cue. Also known as Boo, he enjoys taking car rides. But since he thinks he's a lap dog, Maboo uses a safety belt to stay in place. Otherwise, he'd obstruct the driver's view by trying to take the helm. His dream person is someone who will play fetch with him because catching a ball in midair is Boo's super talent. He also jumps very high so he may have what it takes to be a dock dog. Maboo is a really good dog, but needs someone to love him and accept him for who he is, faults included. He doesn't like loud noises, strangers on his own turf, or surprises. He likes to know what to expect, so a structured day in a low-traffic area is best. Unfortunately, no apartments, condos, or city living. Boo has a loving family but since grandchildren frequently visit, they have asked for help rehoming him because he has bitten two adults. (The bites were not serious and will be explained in full.) Also, no cats as he has no experience with them. Boo is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and takes monthly heartworm and flea & tick prevention. He is house-trained and crate-trained.
