About Molly

Meet Molly Originally from Mississippi, it was evident by her reactions to people and situations, she had experienced trauma and lived a life of uncertainty. Her wait for the right forever home has been long, due to her very specific needs. Molly's needs are a lifelong commitment and will need constant management. She struggles with fear aggression towards new people. Her introductions are done at a very slow pace, with her comfort level as priority. She must meet any interested adopter several times before any interactions due to her fear. You will not see her true personality at first meet but she is worth every bit of extra time and patience. Once that breakthrough showing trust and confidence happens, you will see she is a wonderful, loyal dog who will accept you. Molly is a 5 year old hound mix, weighs 58 lbs., is spayed, current on vaccinations and completely house trained. She enjoys walking, playing and quiet car rides. Molly gets along great with most dogs and would enjoy having a compatible dog sibling to help build her confidence. She is very intelligent, a champ at commands and very eager to please. Molly is very food motivated and is an expert at nose work, quickly searching out any hidden treats. She sits patiently in her 'place' and awaits the 'ok' command to find the goods! Without having to be prompted, she will sit, lie down or give her paw for rewards and positive words of praise. She requires a quiet, calm ADULT ONLY home (preferably with only one to two people). Molly is not suited for large gatherings of people. No children and no cats. A quiet home in a rural area is best. She is not suited for city/suburb living or for any apartment/condo complex living. We know her needs are very specific. She deserves to succeed in life and be a happy pup. We are committed to finding her the home and person she is meant to be with.
