Cora is a 4 year old Doberman with full ears and tail. She originally came into rescue as a 6 month old puppy with severe mange and secondary infections. She was unrecognizable! Through patience, love and veterinary care she made a beautiful recovery. However, due to her medical history she will require some life long medications to keep her healthy and feeling her best. She is dog friendly with proper introductions but does best with male dogs because she is definitely an alpha female. She is also great with cats and kids. She is house and crate trained. She will get into the trash if not supervised when loose. She cannot be free fed and should not have access to other pet's food. She would do best in an active home with clear boundaries. She LOVES going on walks. She is currently on fluoxetine but will probably do very well off of it in a quieter home. She is on soloxine for her thyroid for life (a year's supply will be provided) and must take nexgard or bravecto year round for her CDA and to combat secondary skin infections as a direct result from how sick she was when she originally came into rescue. She may require medicated baths for her skin but she is great for them. She will never grow a full coat and loves her sweaters in the winter. She must have a fenced yard to run in. Cora's adopted mom is experiencing some hardships and no longer feels she can give Cora the home she deserves. We want to give her peace of mind by finding the best forever home for Cora.
