About Honey, Miss PlayGirl

Hi there! My name is Honey, and I'm a sweet, happy, highly intelligent, playful, but very shy 40-pound Black Mouth Cur mix gal who was born in May 2018. I have a blast in my playgroup with 20 other dogs where I'm clearly in my element. I don't have an aggressive bone in my body, and I've literally never met a dog whom I don't like. This includes cranky old dogs, little yappy dogs, and irritatingly adoring puppies! I've excelled at leash training and love car rides. I was rescued with a group of 10 downtown stray street dogs; every female in the group was pregnant except for me, so the group of 10 ended up to be 40 after the puppies were born. I had likely been previously born to one of these stray females. Considering that I had never been handled by or socialized with people, I have made remarkable progress in foster care. I absolutely adore Miss Donna who understood where I was coming from and has been very patient with me as I slowly developed my trust in her. I'm incredibly smart, have excelled in obedience training, and respond well to treats that reward my good behavior. Miss Donna is building on my bonding with her by introducing me to new folks and new situations. It seems that the more new people I meet, the more quickly I progress! Whereas I used to flinch when a new person touched me, now I tolerate head scratches and love. I may never be a bubbly, kissy kind of girl with new people, but I've become receptive and confident as long as the introductions are slow. I'm never aggressive but definitely prefer to be near to rather than cuddling with people. Of course, I don't like to feel trapped or cornered. Because I have grown to love and trust Miss Donna so remarkably, she has decided it's time for me to find a forever family of my own. Of course, to share my home with a herd of other canines would be a perfect fit for me. The more the merrier! My only new-home requirement is that my humans be patient with me as I bond with them. If they extend lots of unconditional love and TLC to me, in return, I'm sure to love and connect with them as deeply as I've done with Miss Donna. Arrange to meet me today! Her adoption fee is $250 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
