Moose is a handsome 6-year-old gent weighing in at 73lbs. Moose arrived at the shelter with the intention of his stay being short-term as he was only there for boarding for a month while his owner searched for housing that would allow him. But soon 1 month turned into 2 and then 2 months turned into 3 and so on until the shelter was unable to board him any longer. His owner surrendered him to the shelter and Moose was put up for adoption but due to his extended stay at the shelter, he ended up being a victim of shelter stress. Moose was dog reactive and being surrounded by dogs 24/7 and living in such a stressful environment resulted in him biting a volunteer attempting to return him to his kennel after his walk. With all of this combined, Moose was put on the e-list. Seeing the potential in Moose we brought him into rescue and have him set up in training. Unfortunately, he is currently in boarding but will frequently get out and be visited by volunteers often. But as this situation still isn't ideal we would like to find Moose a foster or foster-to-adopt home ASAP so we can see his colors truly shine. Apply for Moose today (www.lucyshoperescue.com)!
