About Vali

Meet Vali! If you have a lap that is looking for a dog then Vali is the girl for you! This 5 month old little love bug is a mix of Terrier (we are not sure what type) and Chihuahua. She came into rescue with another dog that we currently have for adoption named Jack who happens to be her Dad! Jack's original home had him with another dog and were very careless about keeping them separate and wound up having a litter. Shortly thereafter the owner neutered Jack but then ultimately decided she would keep the Mom but give away Jack and the puppies. When we got there it was down to just Jack and Vali They get along GREAT! If we can find a home that will keep them together that would be great. The play together, do zoomies in the yard, play tug with one another. They just have a great relationship and really seem to do well together. Vali is very sweet but she can be a bit shy at first. She will bond quickly to her new human with lots of tail wags and cuddles. Her tail goes so fast it's like a propeller sometimes. She really LOVES being held but she also LOVES toys!! She is also very smart, sensitive and learns quickly. In her foster home she is with dogs big and small as well as cats. She is good with most everyone and would do well in a home with kids or with other dogs. Her adoption fee includes the following: 1. Her spay 2. Current vaccinations including rabies 3. Deworming 4. Microchip 5. Collar and leash 6. Starter food An adoption fee does apply. As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as: 1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule. 2. If you do not currently have a pet how you will keep Vali socialized with other dogs Some notes to consider before applying for Vali: 1. Although Vali is 5 months old she is still a puppy and as such requires the time and training to make her the best canine citizen possible. Please make sure that everyone is on board and ready for the responsibility of a young dog. 2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER. 3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place. 4.
