About Dale

Adoption Fee: $125
Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

'Hi there. My name is Dale and I was just hoping that you might be able to help me find a home? I am a sweet, but very nervous boy and would really like to get out of the shelter as soon as possible. Do you think that I could, just maybe, be the perfect pup for you? I am around 6 years old, give or take and am thought to be a Lab / Pittie / something-or-another; I have this gorgeous black coat and my tongue has some awesome spots, so who knows what I really am... 100% handsome, that's what! I came to SVASC when my previous owner was no longer able to care for me. I'm having a harder time adjusting to being at the shelter and will need someone that can be very patient as I start to come around. I do warm up to new folks and have made pals with the staff in the short time that I've been here. I think that if my future people could commit to coming to meet me a few times before taking me home, then we'd be in business. I am very house-trained and will tell you when I want to go out. I'm also a dream to walk on leash! And I have great house manners; I'm quiet and non-destructive. I have lived with other dogs in my previous home and was doing okay. I think that I should be able to adjust to living in a home with another dog again. SVASC always recommends that I meet any future pals before going home and that intros are taken slowly. I also lived with kids before, but I don't think that I would like to do that again; I am nervous and while I have never hurt a kid, they do seem to keep me constantly on edge. My ideal home would be with adults only, other mellow dogs, and on the calmer side. My adoption fee is $125 to an approved adopter. If you would like more information on me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142 or email Erin at [email protected]. SVASC is currently open by appointment only, so please call ahead. SVASC is located at 1001 Mt. Torrey Rd. Lyndhurst, VA.'
