About Carah

Beagle mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I need everyone's help. We brought Carah home from Animal Control last April as a stray. She adjusted well to our family. However, in the last 6 months or so she has started snapping at Ryan when he gets to rambunctious as 5 year olds often do. Unfortunately, this has become more of an issue as now she simply snaps at him for getting close to her. As much as I hate bouncing her around I needed to rehome her before she ended up biting Ryan. I don't want her to be unhappy around him and I don't want him to get bitten and have a fear of dogs and I absolutely don't want her to have the stigma of having bitten a child. I thought we had found a wonderful new home for her. Sadly, that came with a new set of challenges that have nothing to do with Carah's behavior, but still mean she is in need of a new home. Carah needs a home with no small children and where she is either not left alone or is crated when she is left alone. If left alone and free to roam the house she will become destructive while she is alone. She is perfectly happy to lay on the couch and be loved on or go for a nice long walk. When I got her from animal control they estimated her age at 5 so that would make her at least 6 now, she may be older. She has been taken to the vet for her annual check up and vaccines already. Please share this post like crazy and help me find her the perfect home. Thank you!
