About Paisley

Paisley is an 8-year-old chihuahua mix who just wants to be loved on her own terms. She is a great companion, will follow you around all day and nap in your lap or next to you on the couch if you let her, but is not super fond of getting touched. Like most chihuahuas, Paisley tends to be anxious and can use an owner who knows how to make her feel calm. I am rehoming Paisley because I live with other people and am a very cuddly person; my romantic relationships tend to be very physical. Paisley just can't handle that--she barks and tries to break us up. This can be mitigated through training but will never go away. Paisley will do best in a calm, quiet environment, with someone who is single or a couple who do not have much day-to-day PDA. She is leash-reactive, so will do best with her own backyard to supplement walks. She is intelligent and can be stubborn, so will do best with an experienced dog owner or someone who wants to learn.
