About Leia

Do you, or someone you know, consider your home your little sanctuary from the world where you do not have guests? Or if you do, are willing to work to make it successful for your dog. Do you need a little defender that will be your bestest friend? We have got the dog for you! Leia knows how to snuggle like nobody's business, but will absolutely be 'the boss' in your home unless you have the patience to work with her and set boundaries. She will boss other dogs around unless you tell ber that's not ok. She enjoys getting outside, and is happy to chill with you or go on little adventures. She will, however, enforce your 'personal bubble' from others, and will need steady guidance and a leash to be on her best behavior with others. She needs a home who won't let her nip folks coming in the door, and won't force her to become pals when she really only cares about her person. She is a mouthy girl, and has been returned by adopters who all said it was 'fine', but then were displeased when she behaved in the manner that was thoroughly and completely described prior to adoption. It is hard to explain how she is the awesomest little jerk, but that is who she is. She's done okay with a couple, but she has 'her' human. If you're a lone wolf and like it that way, and are stubborn enough to love her - you could be a great fit for this little teddy bear of a tasmanian devil. Leis is 5 years old and weighs about 30-35 pounds. Leia is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in SoCal. Adopters must be able to come here to meet and adopt. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
