Lawrenceville, Ga... Breed: Cocker Spaniel/Beagle mix Gender: female Age: 1 yr Weight: 23 lbs Meet Georgia, A beautiful shy little girl. She was adopted as a puppy but must have been kept very isolated. She doesn't know how to properly walk on a leash but is getting there and gets intimidated by new surroundings. But she is still young and can learn. Her previous owner surrendered her family members pets to us and it felt like : hey I have a dog too and while I am here let me give her to you too... Now Georgia is here and is hoping for a forever home. She is fantastic with other dogs, probably cats too. She grew up in a home with children and once she warms up she is pretty snuggly. A fenced in yard is required in order to help her use the bathroom. She is terrified of the leash right now and as long as she is not comfortable being leash walked and her only way to go potty would be on a leash that can be traumatizing. She needs an experienced person who can lay down rules and reinforce them as she is very smart and will figure out with what she can get away really quick. She would do great as a companion dog for another dog in the home but it would have to be a dog who can match her energy as she likes to run and play.
