About Athos

Adoption Fee: $65
Black Mouth Cur / Beagle
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Some super awesome human dumped these pups out on Highway 53 near Graham, OK a couple of weeks ago, at least they left them a bag of food that lasted all of one day. %BD%BD I will say that we prefer people to not abandon animals at our shelter, but we will take that over this any day!! %BD%BD%BD%BD Anywho, I followed their post seeing many people made attempts to catch them to no avail. Until Lisa stepped in, I swear that woman is one of the most relentless and kind hearted humans I've had the pleasure of meeting. %BD%9D%A4%BD%BD%8F (She takes a lot of our crazy cats.) She sat for HOURS, finally catching 3 of the 4 and hanging on to them for a couple of days to let them settle. The 4th was never able to be caught, but every effort was made and is still being made! %BD%BD%BD%BD These guys still don't know up from down, they're so scared; but they have the intention to be sweet. First and foremost, they are SAFE now. The humans they thought they could trust let down the first time, so they're weary about us still; if only they knew there are still good humans out there, one being the person who saved their lives. %BD%BD%BD%BD Time is definitely something they're going to need, they're gonna have to learn to trust. Naturally, a shelter isn't a place for ones needing TLC, which is all this bunch needs. Opal has been adopted but Dingo & Athos are still looking for their forever home. They are Mutts; but they're small/medium size mutts. I suspect them to be a Beagle mix possibly. %BD%BD%A4%BD%BD%BD%8F%BC%BD'%BD%8D%BD%BD'%BD%8F They also have the silkiest, smooth coats. %BD%BD%BD%8D They're in surprisingly good health considering. They're approximately 5 months old, so they're just babies. Good homes and lots of love is all they need. %BD%BD A home to settle down in and understand that it's OKAY. %BD%BD%8F%BD Their adoption fee is $65 per puppy. This fee covers their initial vaccines, rabies vaccine, wellness exam and spay or neuter. Our hours of operation are 10-4, Monday-Saturday.
