About Diesel

Hello! Meet Diesel! Diesel is a 6 year old Rottie that is full of LOVE! He is a serious guy when it comes to his snuggles, so there's no room for negotiation there. All applicants must be serious snugglers, too. Don't worry, though, he does enjoy spending time outside. He loves smelling and exploring everything around him. He's a smart guy that's always trying to learn new things, so sniffing is mega important for him. He has a blast chasing the balls around. Sometimes he even brings them back! :) Diesel does have special needs with a bite history. We believe there may be some muscular discomfort which has caused him to protect his body. The shelter has worked with vets to alleviate his pain/discomfort with medications and a behavioral consultant to work on his body handling. The combination of these has made a huge difference for him! He will need a special person or couple to help him learn to trust in a home again. His new home will need to be a single family home with no children or other pets. They will need large breed experience working with dogs with a behavioral history. No apartments, please. Diesel will need time to meet potential adopters multiple times at the shelter before making the transition into their home. Anyone who is willing to put time into this boy, will be well rewarded with a very loyal companion. When Diesel loves and trusts, he does it with ALL his heart!
