About Georgie

Adoption Fee: $300
Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Georgie is looking for a very special human as Georgie is a special needs boy. Georgie is an American Staffordshire Terrier. He is 2 1/2 years old. When he was 4 months old he was thrown out of the window of a moving vehicle near an apt. the complex where his prior owner lived and she saw what happened and got him. As a result of that he has neurological issues and was diagnosed with canine autism. His security 'blanket' is his rubber chuck-it balls and he gets quite anxious without them. He does 'stim' (The word 'stimming' refers to self-stimulating behaviors, usually involving repetitive movements or sounds.) where he bites at his legs and spins in circles. When this happens say 'where's your ball' and that gets him to focus on something else. He also has 'happy tail' and suffers from Acid Reflux which is treated with famotidine, has allergies-allergic to protein-on a prescription diet (Hills Z/D prescription diet)-he like green beans, banana's, carrots, zucchini, and has a heart murmur that just needs to be monitored at this time-no medication. He is high energy so would do get with a human that will take him on hikes/running. Should have a secured safe backyard for him to run and play in. NO dog parks as he has become dog aggressive since being quarantined. NO cats/small animals. NO soft toys and must keep things like socks, paper, baby wipes for example put up as he will eat them. He is VERY smart-knows sit, stay, lay down, paw, high five, show me your belly, crawl, spin, in, and off. He loves when you fill his rubber bone with wet food. He jumps on people when excited but not aggressively. He barks at the doorbell/knock. He loves the water therefore he loves baths but will try to eat the towel afterward. No kids under 8 or 9 as he could knock them down. The prior owner told me a story about how she was home alone in her apartment and a man broke in with a gun and Georgie took him down and kept him there until the police arrived. Georgie is not only a special needs boy but also very special as he is a HERO. He loves everyone-no aggression toward humans. So if you think you have what it takes to make the SPECIAL BOY a member of your family, please complete an adoption application at to be considered. You will truly be blessed to make him a member of your family.
