Please make sure to read the adoption requirements that are in his best interest. That being said, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. Smart, sassy and oh so sweet, Ladies & Gentlemen meet our handsome little nugget Jack. Many of you may know him as the crazy, matted 8 lbs dog that was running around Clarkston for over 3 months. Well we know him as Jack. The poor little guy who was failed by his people and who no longer had trust in humans. But once he was captured, all he needed was to know what true love really was. Jack is the perfect lap dog! He's a 4 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix who now weighs in at 15.2 lbs. He's not only absolutely adorable, but a smart and inquisitive boy who loves to hold your hand and be by his humans side. Jack can be active and enjoys playing with his foster brother and sister. He would do best with a retired couple and/or a family who works permanently from home (Not just due to covid). Jack does not do well with young children under the age of 16. We are making it a requirement that Jack has another dog in his new home under 40lbs that has average to mild energy. Jack is very food motivated & loves to play with enrichment toys that offer him treats. He craves human companionship, loves to play outside, enjoys cuddle time & loves his stoop on the stairs to watch the house. Jack is 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained & working on how to walk on a leash. Jack does phenomenal with other laid back dogs under 40lbs dogs, kids over 16 & loved the cat in his previous foster home. Jack is just as much trouble as he is cute. He's a climber & a #RUNNER. That being said, it will be required that Jack has a Privacy fenced in yard. Adoption #Requirements: No Exceptions - Fenced in Yard Required (Must be a wooden privacy fence- No Exceptions) - Jack's new home must have another dog for him to bond with that is laid back and under 40lbs - No Kid's Under 16 Jack is currently up for adoption through Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue. His adoption fee is $350 & will include his distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, & lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; fecal test & being fixed. Jack is currently on both flea & tick, as well as heartworm prevention. Jack is currently being fostered within the metro Detroit area.
