About Fuji

Meet Fuji, a two-year-old, 45 lb. terrier mix. Sadly he had a terrible start to his life where he did not get the proper socialization and so he has a hard time trusting new people. Once he's comfortable, Fuji is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal boy! He will let you rub all over him, give him hugs, and will jump up to meet you once you have gained his trust. He loves to go on walks, be pet, cuddled, and also enjoys toys and playing with female dogs (does not like males). Fuji has been in the shelter for over a year because unfortunately he does not show well in a kennel environment. He will growl and bark at anyone new who walks by. However, he is a completely different dog with the people he knows and trusts when he's not behind bars. Fuji loves all the volunteers that walk him and many of the staff members he sees everyday. He is just a stranger danger type of dog. He is slowly declining in the shelter and is anxiously waiting to be in a loving home willing to give him a chance to show what a great dog he can be. As mentioned above, Fuji is good with female dogs but not with males. He is also not too fond of cats as he tends to chase them and would be best in a home with teens and up. You must also have a fenced yard to be considered for his adoption. His adoption fee is $350 and he is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
