Cookie is a mixed breed rescue dog. We adopted Cookie in September of 2019 - in love with her spirit with a dream of giving her a loving and attentive home. Three days later we learned that my wife was at last pregnant with our first child. Since then, Cookie has lived with us, but unfortunately due to unforeseeable difficulties with our daughter's sleep habits, the limitations of my job, and the ongoing demands of taking care of our first rescue dog, Moose, we have been forced to admit that we are not able to give Cookie the home that she deserves. As heartbreaking as it is for us, we have decided to put Cookie up for adoption. Cookie would thrive in a single-dog environment, or with a dog that is not an alpha, either with a single female owner or a family with kids past infancy. She needs more training than we are able to give, but is smart and trainable when there is time. If we find the right family to adopt, we are willing to help in order to ease Cookie's transition.
