Meet Gallina (Spanish for chicken) This sweet little mama came into rescue and gave birth an hour later. She has been nothing but the sweetest girl. Affectionate and joyful. She was surrendered by a family that had far too many dogs. So we jumped in to help. Gallina is very submissive. Rolls onto her back whenever meeting someone new, and once she knows them, she is full of cuddles and kisses. She is approximately 2 years old and roughly 8 lbs. although she needs to put on a little weight still. Nursing her puppies(all of whom are adopted) has really kept her slim & trim. She has been socialized with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. She is good in a crate(prefers it to be covered) and is doing excellent on her potty training. She loves to run around the yard, looking for treats, that her foster mom tosses around and she enjoys sunbathing too. She is a darling dog that will be a wonderful addition for one lucky family. We are doing one on one meetings for serious adopters, with a $50 deposit. You will be required to do home video, and pay deposit before meeting Gallina Gallina will need to be spayed, and have a heartworm test, and have her vaccines updated so you will have to be on board to bring her back for her surgery, which is covered by your adoption fee. We are a FORCE FREE rescue. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. We are never sure about breed because we do not do DNA (we make our best guess), so if that is important to you, this dog may not be the right choice for you. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a dog. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You may need to come back to us to complete shots, spay or neuter, hw test. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative. You will receive a free bag of premium food, as well as a gift card from Choice Pet Market if you live in one of the designated zip codes . Training is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date.
