BISHOP - needs foster or foster-to-adopt home Male Pit bull type dog About 4 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Will do best as an only pet Needs an adult home or one with older children Up to date with vaccines Neutered Bishop came to us as an owner surrender. He had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who could not keep him. We saw him advertised on a free pets' site and contacted the owner, who was thankfully was willing to work with a rescue. After spending time in boarding while we searched for a foster home for him, Bishop has spent time in foster-based training. He has done great! Bishop is a high energy dog and will need daily exercise - both physical and mental. He needs a family who will take him on adventures and continue to introduce him to new people, places, and things. He would love a family who is at home for at least part of the day - a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home would be ideal for him. He is happiest when he is with people. He needs an adult home, or one with older children (16 years old or older) He is a happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful family member. To make sure that the match is the right one for both Bishop and the family, we would like to do a short foster-to-adopt placement for him.
