About TUTU

Adoption Fee: $225.00
Yorkie
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Look at this sweetheart! Tutu is a gentle 11 year old, 6 pound Yorkie. Tutu sadly has a history of being passed from owner to owner and not receiving the best care. When she came to us she was very thin and needed lots of TLC. She is now ready to find a forever home with someone special! Tutu is a quiet little girl and loves to be near her person. If she is not napping in a soft dog bed, she follows her foster mom around the house. She will let you know when she is hungry by pacing and giving you inviting looks, and just recently when her foster mom was too slow to bring her breakfast she barked for the first time! She gets fed breakfast and dinner, plus a small meal at lunch since she still needs to gain a little more weight. She had a dental recently and all of her teeth were pulled and she is now on a soft food diet. Tutu loves to go outside with the other dogs in her foster home. She is on a good potty schedule so she doesn't have a lot of accidents in the house, but she is not fully potty trained. Loud noises startle her and a quiet home would be best. At her age a home with children is not a good fit, and she has not been tested with cats. We have not tried to walk her with a harness and leash, but she most likely would be fine with some practice. A fenced yard is preferred, but not required. She loves snuggling up in the big bed with her person all night long but will sleep in a doggy bed if necessary. Tutu is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She would be perfect for someone looking for a quiet lap dog to love!
