About Sophie

If interested, please apply at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Miss Sophie started out as somewhat a neighborhood celebrity in a not so great way. She was running loose for almost 2 weeks and could not be caught in freezing cold temperatures. The neighborhood came together and put a plan in place and finally caught her. Ultimately her love for other dogs allowed her to be tricked into coming into a fence. Sophie is very sweet, but a bit skittish with new experiences and will need that physically fenced yard so this never happens again. Sophie is likely about 8-9 months old and weighs about 45 pounds. She is very slender and petite. She is learning all kinds of things in a foster home and has a couple of dogs to play with. She is doing well with a 10 year old child (prefers her). Other dogs around Sophie will have to be very tolerant of her almost constant desire to play. Sophie is doing great in the crate and is also house trained. We think she may be too much for cats. We would recommend older children in a home with Miss Sophie. Sophie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
