About Chai

Starbucks ain't got nothing on our Chai! Whether you like it hot or iced, our girl to add a little spice to your life! Chai is a 10-month-old pup looking for love and a cushy place to sleep. She is believed to be a German Shepherd/Pittie mix, but she's a petite 30 lbs. right now. Chai is a messy eater and a needy roommate but she makes up for it by pouring her heart and soul into her cuddles. She is medium energy and gets along with dogs of all sizes and cats! She may not be the best candidate for small children as she likes to walk with her body touching her humans' legs and would likely knock them over every chance she got. Chai is in foster in Fountain and her adoption fee is $400. Chai's prior family had to give her up due to having some serious medical concerns they were facing. A concerned citizen reached out after seeing Chai had been living in the backyard just waiting at the glass for someone to love her. When her rescuer approached them to ask about surrendering they were so grateful for the help and explained about all of the struggles their human family was facing. Chai's surrender was a win/win situation and we couldn't be more pleased to welcome her to MHCR.
