About Poppy

Poppy is a petite 3 1/2 year old Terrier mix who is looking for just the right forever human to call her own. Poppy is very timid and particular with who she likes and how she likes to be handled, but once she picks her person she will stick to you like glue! Poppy has bonded with both men and women, but would prefer to live with a single person as she tends to only bond with one person in the home and doesn't appreciate having any other people around. She has done well with other dogs, as long as they respect her personal space and let her monopolize their person when she wants to. However, she would prefer a cat-free home. Poppy is potty trained, but will likely need reminders as she adjusts to a new home. She will also require a securely fenced in yard because she is not a fan of being harnessed and leashed for walks. She is a homebody and a couch potato who loves to cuddle in bed with her person at night once she has been given time to bond with them. She will need a gentle, calm, and quiet home with adults only. Poppy will make the most loving, loyal companion to the person who gives her lots of time and patience to come around. She weighs 8 pounds and is fully grown. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. Her adoption fee of $100 includes a complimentary vet visit.
