Hi, my name is Ozzy. I'm a 1 year old, 50lb shepherd/boxer mix. I am super smart & learning basic commands. My foster home has a deaf & blind kitty that runs into me all the time. I don't mind, I just go on about my business. My favorite activities are, taking naps with my foster sisters & a good game of fetch. I am responding so well to leash pressure, my foster Mom is confident that I will have it perfected with more practice. Crate training and learning to share my toys, are a work in progress. And even though my foster family is working with me, I will need an experienced dog person or training classes to improve on these skills. I would prefer a fenced yard so I can get lots of exercise & would thrive in a home, with an existing confident & playful dog companion. But would also be fine as the only dog, if I am given adequate walks and mental stimulation. With my athletic personality, I think I would make a great running or hiking partner. As part of Ozzy's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email [email protected] If you wish to adopt Ozzy, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
