About Romeo

Lab / Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Romeo! Romeo for four years was seen on a chain every day and always in the same space. After years of seeing this, the owner was finally approached and Romeo was freed off the chain, medically vetted, and now in need of a forever home. Romeo is a Lab mix with a smooth silky coat, 65 pounds, 4-5 years old, sweet as can be, and a good boy that is so worthy. Romeo does great with small dogs and cats but would prefer a home where he gets all the attention and can be the only dog. Cats can be all around him and he doesn't mind or bother them. He is intimidated by big dogs and best not to go to a home with large dogs. He does have energy, strength, and will play. He is not a big social bug and will be perfectly content at home where it's quiet, a bed to lay on and he has a fenced-in yard to roam in. He likes hugging you with his front legs wrapped around your waist even though we discourage jumping up. He has had limited experience with kids but has been good at getting around older teens. Romeo spends his days now laying in a home office with his foster dad lying next to him. He is learning to walk on a leash, does pull, does bark at strangers as they approach, so he would be much happier just hanging out at home and hanging out in his fenced yard until he is very settled in his new home. Romeo will still require patients and love and will require continuous obedience and a leader for a human companion that will advocate for him and not put him in bad situations. Romeo is fully medically vetted and tested negative for heartworms (Yeah!) and will be microchipped before going to a forever home. If you are wanting to make a difference in rescued dogs' life Romeo is your boy!
