About Dimitri

Dimitri is an adventurer looking for a family to go exploring with! He is a 2 year old Picardy Shepherd mix who weighs about 34 pounds and is fully grown. He has long legs made for running, and needs a home with a securely fenced in yard to get out his energy in. While he is initially shy, he quickly turns into a cuddle bug who loves snuggling and sleeping in bed with his people. He does not like being left behind, so he is looking for a family that is home more often than not, and/or that will take him along when they leave. Dimitri has a big voice and is not afraid to use it when home alone, so no apartments or condos with shared walls. He walks well on leash once he is comfortable with his people, and would be a great hiking buddy. He has never been around children that we know of, but may be okay with older, dog savvy kids/teens who know to give him his space while he warms up to them. Dimitri gets along wonderfully with other dogs. However, he is not a fan of cats and wants a home free of cats and very small dogs (under 20 pounds) who he might mistake for cats. He is mostly potty trained, but will need reminders as he adjusts to a new home. Dimitri is neutered, microchipped, vet checked, and up to date on vaccines.
