Pathways has a new sweetheart! Say hello to Davis! He'll be an easy addition to any household as he comes with no bad habits. He is sweet and reserved. Davis is a schnauzer mix. He's around 2-1/2 years old and 19 pounds of cuteness! Because of his timid nature, we are requiring a home with another gentle and confident dog which will help Davis gain confidence himself. Rescued as a very scared and timid boy, Davis has started to come out of his shell in his foster home. This has taken months and months of love and dedication. He's still fearful in unfamiliar situations, but oh so much better. Generally, he seems more comfortable with women but is also okay with men who will accommodate his need for patience and love ... he's more of a slow-approach kind of guy. His typical day involves two long walks which he enjoys very much, and then he runs into the house to cuddle in his favorite chair beside his human. Foster mama says he's the best walker of all times. You pick the speed and he's right beside you. No pulling, and there's no whining if you stop to talk to neighbors. He syncs himself to your pace. He does very well with other dogs in the house. Upon meeting them, he stands back and watches until he's comfortable, then he follows them around and enjoys being part of the pack. On walks, he doesn't seek the attention of other dogs but will stand behind his human and tolerate whoever is around. With his charming personality and looks, he always gets lots of attention when out on walks. He also rides nicely in the car. Davis is most playful right before bedtime. He comes alive for his favorite game of tag / hide & seek, and it's been fun, as well as heart-warming, to watch his personality come to light. Adoption fee for Davis is $400.00. He is vet-checked, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He'll go to his new home with collar and ID tag, harness and leash. Please email to request an adoption application. We can set up a meet & greet with your pup upon approved application.
