Finn is a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua cross approx 7 y/o and 13#. Finn and his partner were kept as backyard breeders for 7 years. When they could no longer have puppies and were of no value to the owners, they were dumped at a local shelter. They are now ready to live the good life. They were not accustomed to normal doggie life and struggled a bit at first. Now with help from his foster family, Finn is learning to be a cherished family pet. Finn has blossomed into a cheerful, active, smart, sensitive, funny little guy who just wants to be loved and have fun. He loves walks, hikes, sunbathing, toys and snuggles with his human and his blankie. Finn wants all the attention but could live with another tolerant and submissive dog with slow off leash introductions, due to his leash reactivity which new owner will need to work on. Finn would prefer no kids or visiting kids in his new home. He is a talker and he thinks he is a guard dog so he can't live in an apartment with shared walls so as not to disturb the neighbors. Finn is mostly potty trained but he will need reminders and a patient owner who will continue to work with him. Experience with chihuahuas and/or terriers is a plus. He is crate trained, has had a dental, is neutered, chipped and UTD on vaccinations. If interested in meeting Finn, complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Finn's adoption fee is $300 and we are not doing out of state adoptions
