About Milo

I am needing to rehome my American Pittbull. He is about 3 years old, he's a very affectionate loving dog that will take affection over a treat anyway. I recently got divorced and my 13 year old daughter is distance learning, but falling behind and is actually going to have to go back to in person school next week. I am currently a nurse testing people for Covid, I have been having to work 10 hour days, it was suppose to be 4 days/week but we are basically needed as much as possible. We have come to the very difficult decision that we cannot give Milo the attention and exercise he needs. He is very high energy, very intelligent pup, he gets along with other dogs and loves kids, but is usually overly excited and can come off scary. He is very high anxiety, mainly separation anxiety. He has no problems with lightening or fireworks, but hates being left at home alone. We have to put him in a crate, cover the crate with a blanket and play calming music when we leave. He can be destructive when left alone in the house or not exercised enough. He likes to always have a toy or shoe in his mouth at all times. He really is a great dog and we hate that we can't be the family he deserves. Please let me know if you can help me, I adopted him from Pet Smart about 1 year ago. He is fixed and is currently on 20mg Prozac once per day for anxiety. He does like his thunder vest and sleeps well under a weighted blanket.
