About German Shepherd

This guy needs a new home. I will be extremely picky about where he ends up. He is a 12month old, AKC registered in tact male (needs to be neutered). Preferably he would go to someone who would use him in some type of sport. He is very toy motivated, more so than food but he really likes both. He is possessive of his humans. You'll have to meet him with a muzzle on because he absolutely will try to sink his teeth into you. Once Im out of the picture and you're holding the leash it takes a short period of time to warm up, especially if there are toys involved. Once he warms up, hes fine and the muzzle can come off. No small children. He has very, very limited manners and he is a large dog. Probably 80lbs already. He is dominant. He doesn't need to go to a home with other dogs unless you have a way to keep them physically seperated. I wholeheartedly believe this issue can be overcome and probably stems from poor experiences with other dogs prior to me having him. He has been allowed to run and play with my most submissive female. He is rough. But a lot of it is dominance. Only 'Petsmart' style training will not work on this dog. He is a confident animal who needs someone who understands how to establish leadership. I just dont have the time to overcome both issues and I was unaware of the animal issues (I was told he played 'too rough') prior to getting him. Please PM if you're interested.
