About Niko

Meet Niko ! Niko is a 7 year old male long haired chihuahua mix who weighs 4.5 lbs. A kind hearted man found Niko in the pouring rain in Newark. The man scooped him up and took in home, fed and bathed him. His owners were never found and Niko became legally part of our rescue. Niko was seen by our vet and he had bad dental disease and needed 10 teeth removed. He has one crazy canine snaggletooth left which we love ! Niko was brought up to date on all shots and we had him neutered. He is best friends with Noelle and she tends to watch out for her little man. Niko can hold his own with the other dogs that are slightly bigger than him. He loves napping and his soft food. Niko enjoys being a lapdog and can walk on a leash well. He is very friendly, quiet and sweet as can be ! We are looking for a home where a dog his tiny size can stay safe and someone who would be willing to keep him groomed. Niko will be ready for adoption on or after Jan 22nd.
