About Patches

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

***adoption pending*** This is pretty Patches, a 2 year Australian Cattledog girl who weighs about 44 pounds. She also has a fantastic raccoon tail. Patches knows her basics: sit, stay, leave it, wait at the door. She also knows how to shake hands and also catch a treat that is tossed into the air. Patches is house and crate trained. Patches is nice with people after a polite introduction. She isn't a fan of folks who come on strong, and would take longer to warm up to them. She can be good with kids but only if the kids can be taught how to treat her. Patches has some places in her body that she prefers be left alone and a kid would need to clearly understand those boundaries. Patches is very curious about other dogs. She appreciates the playful small dog she lives with now. She can play rough so her dog pals need to be ok with that. Patches is also good with dog-savvy cats. Mostly, Patches is into her person so she doesn't care if she lives with another dog. Patches is a fun adventure partner. She walks gently on leash, but does sometimes want to stop and smell. She is polite in the car, but it will take a few more car rides for her to think they are fun. Patches absolutely loves to fetch. She will run and even catch the ball out of the air. She will drop the ball in your hand or toss it back to you to keep the game going. Patches can get mouthy when excited. She can also be stubborn. Such a Cattledog! Patches is shy at first but very loving when she warms up. She wants to be with her person doing whatever her person is doing. She also loves to be pet and get belly rubs. She is good for a moderately active home who enjoys fetch and walks. She doesn't require long hikes sand jogging, like some of this breed do. Patches is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is ready to meet qualified adopters here in SoCal. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
