About Grady

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Grady has had a long journey and he just can't seem to catch a break. He started off as a tiny little kitten about five weeks old found by a railroad track in the east side of Cleveland. He came into our rescue a little bit scared, full of lice and lots of fleas. We got him the help he needed and raised him up to trust humans. When he was about two months old he was placed up for adoption. A family came and saw him and decided that he belonged in their home with them.??? We were so excited for his new journey. Well about a year later they said that they decided that a cat was not a good fit for them.? Our hearts broke. After his kitten months were over, he had to return into the system. We again took him to the vet. Got him groomed because he was full of matted hair. We also had to heal his heart and soul. It is so hard on animals when they have to leave their families. They just don't understand. Fast forward a few months later and he was adopted. He went to a home with three older children and a mom and dad. The kids were so excited to take him home. Their going home picture was just perfect! We were so happy that he was going to have a life filled with love and laughter. Fast forward a year and a half later and we were notified by a local social media nonprofit organization. Grady's family had posted on there that they had banished him to a play shed in the backyard. Not only that, they had declawed him. They said that he just was not friendly and did not like their dog. Did we say what a beautiful going home picture it was with the children holding him? He was a very friendly boy. It took us a couple months to be able to get him back. But finally he was back into our organization. He was very skinny and had bug bites all over his face. Our hearts sunk. Surprisingly enough his soul was not crushed. All he wants is love. Just love and pets and to rub all over you. This poor boy! Grady needs a forever family. One that promises to love him for the rest of his life. He does not deserve to be bounced around and thrown out when they are through with him. He needs gentle love. Snuggles. And lots of wonderful food. He needs a warm loving family to love him forever. Please consider Grady if you are looking for a forever companion to be part of your family. To have a loving cat for the rest of that cat's life. He is precious and so deserving! *We respond to all inquiries so please check your bulk or spam email folders if you do not see a response from us*
