Runner, aka Maggie Moo Moo, had been living on the street for the past couple of years. We tried trapping her but she jumped out of our trap. Animal Control was able to use a neighbor's kennel to trap her. She is now enjoying indoor life with a family. Potential adopter MUST have at least a 6ft fence. She needs a home with another dog, as she does not do well as an only dog and requires a heavy duty crate. Walks well on a leash, is housebroken, crate trained, and she is cleared from her Lyme & Ehrlichia disease, and has completed her heartworm treatment. She is super scared but able to be handled with no issues. It takes her awhile to warm up to new people. She is very timid with new people - no aggression issues...she is cat friendly and very dog friendly since she slept with dogs when she lived outside and shared their food while living on her own to survive the last couple of years. Neighbors were kind enough to feed her too. She is a female am staff/pit mix, young, about 3 years old. This scared beauty will need an experienced, patient person to teach her to trust and socialize her. A home with another dog (her size at 68lbs - no small dogs) and someone home all the time would be best for this girl. If you are interested in doing a foster to adopt or a trial run so we can help you get acclimated with her and help choose the best fit for her, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.rescueangelssomd.com. If she is listed, she is still available.
