Mick is a beautiful, young shepherd mix. He is lean and tall, not as big as a full GSD would be. He is scared of other big male dogs, but absolutely loves little dogs and is good with female dogs upon proper introduction. Little dogs have to be playful though as he will try to play with them so they cannot be afraid of big dogs. He will chase and bark at cats and critters if he sees them outside but leaves them alone when they are inside. A lot of dogs are like that. The cats even climb up on his crate and swat at his tail and he plays with them. He is a great guard dog, no noise or movement gets past him. He is submissive with his human and flinches when you raise your hand, which suggests that he was beaten in his previous life so he needs someone who will be very loving and gentle with handling him. His previous owner brought him to a vet to be euthanized because he had a broken toe... He also turned out to be heartworm positive. His toe has healed and his heartworm was treated and he is now negative and otherwise fully vetted and ready to find a home that will cherish him and love him, unlike his previous owner. He is currently in Oklahoma but can go on our next transport to NorCal, OR, and WA.
