About AVA

Meet AVA... We pulled Ava years ago from a kill shelter and it took a while until she found a home. She was adopted by a couple but 4 years later, on Christmas Eve, the husband brought her back in tears fearing for the safety of his dog. He saw a disturbing video on his security footage of his wife beating trees with a long stick along the fence line and harassing the dogs with it as well. Another video showed how she got the dogs all hyped up and when they started fighting each other she just sat there completely spaced out. The husband realized he can't reason with an addict and the had to choose safety for his dogs. We would love for this girl not to grow old in rescue care. She would love a home where she can be the only dog just because of what she has been through. She is not dog aggressive but developed an attitude she shows sometimes. She loves to go for a stroll and is not requiring lots of exercise. She loves to snuggle and is very well behaved, crate and house trained. She loves people and kids and is a very gentle older girl Ava is about 7 years old and might have some bull terrier in her. She has only 1 eye and we don't know what happened. She might not be the most prettiest dog in some people eyes but she is the most beauty at heart and loyal to the bone. This girl will melt your heart if you give her a chance. Ava's adoption fee is $ 250 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, spay and micro chip.
