Meet Gibbons! He is a handsome 3 year old black Dachshund mix! He is a little underweight at 13.6 pounds, and his foster dad is working on that. Gibbons was found as a stray and never claimed, which is surprising! He is a very sweet, happy little guy who never meets a stranger. He loves every person he meets! Gibbons craves attention and is never happier than when his person is loving on him. He is affectionate and loves cuddles. Gibbons is a fun dog with good energy. He is fine with other small dogs, but would also be fine as an only dog. As long as he has his person he is perfectly content! He sleeps snuggled up with his foster dad at night. He has not been tested with cats or kids but we believe he would be fine with older kids. His foster dad says he has not noticed any accidents in the house, but he has a doggy door that he knows how to use so that might change with a different set up. He is eager to please and walks well on a leash. He would be happiest with a person or family who would be able to spend a lot of time with him! Gibbons has been to the vet and is up to date on shots, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. He did test positive for heartworms and he has been started on treatment which is provided and paid for by the rescue. His neuter is scheduled at our vet and is covered by the rescue.
