Me...and my Sha...dow. Yep, when you're talking a walk with super handsome Shadow at your side, you just might be tempted to belt out this old-time favorite. With his nice leash manners and happy trot, this 14-lb. 6-year-old Rat Terrier is bound to make you proud. Shadow also rides well in a car and is fully house-trained, using a dog door to let himself out and back in. While he's friendly with people and other dogs, he'll really just prefer being with you and would be fine as an only dog or perhaps with one other small, relaxed canine companion. Shadow has two great loves--your attention and soft chewy toys. He's fond of toys to the point of being possessive of them, and for this reason, he shouldn't be with very young children who wouldn't understand the signals he gives when he doesn't want to share. Regarding the attention seeking, Shadow promises he's working on being less demanding but wishes to remind you that there's no finer feeling than to be adored by a dog. On that score, we couldn't agree more--especially when that dog just wants to be your Shadow.
