About Andy

Andy is a Doberman/ Black Lab mix rescued from a high kill shelter just in the nick of time. He is house trained, smart and knows many commands. Andy comes to his name, and knows many commands including sit, stay and down! Andy was seen by our private vet and is a very healthy boy about 7 yrs old. He had torn a ligament on his knee, and we got him the surgery that he needs. His recovery is going well and he is back to normal. He currently weighs about 60 lbs. He has a lean body with slim legs. Andy likes to play with his toys, but isn't rambunctious. Andy is house trained, knows many commands. Andy is a loving dog who deserves a home. Unfortunately, we have to board Andy because we do not have any available foster homes. Andy deserves better than that, and we are eager to find him a foster or forever home. He should go to an adult home as an only dog. He wants to be an alpha dog, so should go to a home with doggie experience. Andy has worked with a trainer, and is ready to go the right home. He is very loving and playful, and can be quite the sweetheart. He just needs an experienced adopter who can give him the structure and exercise. Andy is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
