About Zander

This beautiful boy is Zander. He is a 9 year old Rat Terrier mix. Zander weighs 24 pounds. Zander came to us when his family asked us to help them with two dogs as they were moving and decided they had too many pets to take to the new house. Zander was pretty traumatized for a few days, but dogs are very resilient. Within a few days he was going to his foster family for attention. Zander is looking for a new home that doesn't have to be any specific type of home, he just needs to be wanted. Zander is a very sensitive dog and he knows who loves him, who tolerates him and who doesn't like him. Zander will do great with anyone who loves him, but he is partial to men. Zander has lived with other dogs, cats and young children. He is used to an active home, but he would also be happy in a slower paced home. Zander would love to have a fenced yard to get out and get some exercise throughout the day, but he is also very good on a leash and could be taken out for potty breaks and walks. We recently had Zander's teeth cleaned. He had a small growth on one of his back legs that we had removed. It was benign and not an issue. Zander is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. Zander does not want to hear about moving every again. He wants a forever relationship that will last the rest of his life. He will reward you will a wagging talk, welcomes at the door, and snuggles on the couch and in bed.
