Hi, my name is DARTH - ID#A4462067. I am a neutered male, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Aug 28, 2020. It's now been over 90 DAYS since Darth arrived at the shelter, and he's still waiting for the right person to come along and see what a good boy he is! Darth has an unmistakable zest for life, and he's been getting a little frustrated that all his fun energy is going to waste without a family of his own to share it with! When a potential new friend walks by his kennel, Darth just can't help but bark and jump up and down with excitement - which sadly, tends to make people just keep walking (not knowing what they're really missing out on). But once he's out in the play yard, it's easy to see what a fun, outgoing boy Darth really is - he runs around playfully, jumps into play pools, plays fetch, and happily shows off his 'sit' in exchange for a few yummy treats. And after he's had a chance to release some of that pent-up energy, Darth is an absolute lovebug who just wants to soak up as much love and attention as possible. Darth will need a home with no small children (ages 12+ please), and will need to meet all members of the household (dogs included) before you take him home. His previous owner reported that he is already housetrained, and noted that he may prefer to be an only dog and keep all the cuddles for himself.
