**** PLEASE READ FULL BIO * * * * * Phoebe is a special, fun, energetic Poodle/Bichon girl who's just a year old. She came to us from a kind person who rescued her from a bad situation. Apparently as a younger pup, her rear leg was broken and never treated so it healed slightly crooked as she grew. Her 'handicap' has never stopped her! She runs zoomies, romps and plays with her foster friends all day long, and generally thinks life is pretty sweet. In rescue, we have the chance to mend, treat, and take care of many ailments. We called upon two canine ortho specialists who confirmed Phoebe wasn't in pain and seemed to use the leg (as opposed to holding it up all the time). Fixing the break is always an option but would not guarantee that things wouldn't get worse so we decided to help her find a home and work with adoptive owners on making their own decisions. She may never require surgery, but as the years go by, it will be something her family will want to monitor to see if attention and treatment may become necessary down the road. In the meantime, she really, really wants a young and active playmate in her home (required-- must have another active playful small dog in the home -- she won't do well with large dogs or senior dogs), a reasonable sized yard with some grass, some gentle walking and exercise, and a family to love. She will be fine with gentle, respectful children who are at least 8 years old, possibly okay with cats. Adoption fee for Phoebe is $500.00. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and will come with all the vet records and notes we have for her. Phoebe will also go home with her own collar and ID tag, harness and leash. With no adoption events right now, we can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request an application.
