About Sancho

Sancho is a handsome 11 year old Chihuahua mix with a near toothless grin he can't wait to share with his forever humans! He weighs just under 7 pounds and is full grown. Sancho is a loving boy who has never made an enemy. He is great with humans of all ages, dogs of all sizes and cats too! Though he would do best in a calmer environment, he definitely wouldn't mind a little excitement in his golden years. Sancho unfortunately lived outside in his previous home and has only ever had a kennel as his 'home'. He will need a patient home that understands he is not house trained and may be a bit stubborn when trying to train him. While here at AZSDR, Sancho received a dental cleaning and had a total of 7 teeth extracted with 17 already missing! He has received a bright green go light from our vet as healthy and ready to find his forever! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee of $200 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt him come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
