About Pearl

Adoption Fee: 75
Siamese / Domestic Cat
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Pearl is a senior lynx point siamese with a lot of sass and spark, as most siamese are. She will tolerate a quick pet on the top of her head, but then will swat and try to bite. She is being corrected with a squirt bottle of water currently. She will rub against your leg and follow you around, will purr often and she really wants the attention, but has a hard time trusting. She is left ear tipped and was formerly an outdoor colony cat before she went to the shelter and became homeless. We rescued her and she is in a foster home, learning how to be an indoor pet. She has great litter box habits and has a great appetite. She has put on a normal amount of weight. She had terrible skin and was skinny when she arrived to us. We bathed her, put her on dry food in the mornings and canned in the evenings, and she is looking and feeling much better. She will not allow you to hold her, but you can pick her up to quickly put her somewhere else. Pearl hates other cats. She doesn't mind them if she can keep her distance, but if any come close, she will attack them. We don't trust her around children. She loves to scratch carpet so a cat tree to redirect this will help. She will scratch on sisal rope scratchers. She would be happiest as an only cat/only pet. With all of this said, she is still a deserving girl that we are sure will find her person. We know there are people out there that understand this breed and know how to work with and live with them. Pearl has beautiful blue eyes. We love her and we are accepting applications at www.rescueangelssomd.com. All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, and current on revolution prevention. No declawing. Indoor homes only.
